About me.
Hello
All!
I
don't know much about my youth, but I know that from the age of 4 I went to
school. This school was called the St. Theresia school in Barger-Compascuum. I
know that I had a lot of fun on that school.
After
the St. Theresia school I
went to the KDC. This was my high school. I went to this school until I was 17.
I really had a nice time on this school. Only the 2nd and the 3rd year weren't
very nice. The school was still nice, but I broke my leg and everything that
could go wrong, went wrong. I spent about 3 month in the hospital and had to go
in a wheelchair to school for 1.5 months. After that I had to walk on crutches
for almost a year. But fortunate I'm allright now
(accept the scars on my leg and the difference in length).
After
I had a lot of fun on the KDC, I went to the Saxion Hogeschool Enschede. During the
first two years of the study Applied Physics (No it is not that hard as it
sounds) I had a lot of fun (As ever on a school :D).
For this school I had to do get practical experience. For the first internship
I went to Océ Technologies B.V. in Venlo.
That is a company that produces document systems, so everything that has to do
with documenting, like printing, copying and stuff like that they can do it for
you. This internship was really fun to do and I really liked going there.
During
the internship at Océ I heard that I could follow some subjects in Denmark (Odense)
at the "Odense
University College".
I went to this school for a half year and got the last theory for my Bachelor
degree. This half year in Denmark
was really cool, because I met some nice persons outside Holland. For example I went to Lithuania on a
holiday, because a friend invited me to his home country. That was really cool,
and without that friend I would have never seen Lithuania.
After
the half year in Denmark I
went back to Holland and did a second internship
at Philips Semiconductors B.V. in Nijmegen.
There I worked a little bit with the electronics (chips) of a car. This was
also really interesting and fun to do. I really liked it there. I didn't see
much of the city Nijmegen,
but some people tell me that it is a really nice city.
But I will discover it later.
When
I left the city of Nijmegen
I felt like going abroad again. Therefore I went to Switzerland ta
a place called Villigen PSI. I did my final project
here at the Paul Scherrer Institut.
This institut is working on particle accelerators and
I'm going to help the medical group for proton accelerations. Because I
finished this project with a good grade I got my Bachelor degree!!! But that
was not the only positive experience there. I also met some great people in Switzerland and
I hope it is not a temporary friendship and that we will keep in touch!!!
After
a good holiday where I enjoyed my free time I am back in a University. But this
time I'm trying to get my Master degree in Applied Physics. Let's see if I
succeed.
