First I will start explaining who Daniël Lohues is. Daniël Lohues is a singer/songwriter from Erica (Drenthe, The Netherlands), which is pretty close to the town I grew up. The nice thing about him is that he mostly sings in the dialect that I also speak, so it is kind of my mother tongue. The people from Holland may know him from the band "Skik" with the song "Op fietse" or from his period that he played with the Louisiana Blues club. This year he is performing solo for the second year. Last year I couldn't see him, because I was too late with ordering the tickets. This year however I could see him perform live. Before I went there I already knew that it would be a great evening, because he always puts down a very nice show, but this time he would be alone. But he is a great story teller, therefore he could fill the gap between two songs easily. I'm very happy that I could see him this time and I would go again if I could.
So if you could see him once, or listen to his CD once, than I would recommend it!!!
