Today I have been to Racoon with Geraldine a friend who lives in Holland, but comes from Peru, therefore this was an English evening. The concert was in Utrecht in "Vredenburg". This is a theatre with very good acoustics, but mostly used for classical music. But now Racoon was playing there, Racoon is a very good band with very good songs, but this concert was a theatre concert. Meaning that some songs would be completely stripped down to only acoustic guitar and some kind of box (played by drummer) as instruments and the voice of "Bart van der Weide" (vocals). These versions were really great, at least I think it is very nice to hear the songs I like played a bit different(especially a stripped acoustic version!!).
I really enjoyed myself this evening, so thank you Geraldine for ask me to come to this concert... The only bad thing was that I had to run to catch the train back to Enschede at the end of the evening...
